Many of these products are designed with the tagline that it’ll make life easier and can help to increase the overall security of your home.
Smart doorbell: this is a very popular starting point for those testing the waters with smart home technology. The doorbells come with a camera attached to them, this enables the user to see who is at the door before they answer it.
Smart door lock: some locks can be programmed to open when the owner is a certain distance away from the door, whilst some others can be operated by a keypad or with a fob.
Smart alarms: these allow users to get real-time notifications to their smartphone or tablet when someone enters a room, opens a window or triggers an alarm.
